Modifications
As our building is about 100 years old we are not accessible to wheel chairs. We will however lend a hand to anyone that wants access to our Pub.
Within the confines of our building, any policy, practice, or procedure of The Waltzing Weasel that does not respect and promote the principals of dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity for people with disabilities will be modified if possible or removed.
Training
The Waltzing Weasel will provide accessible customer service training to all service staff. Our staff will be trained as part of their orientation when their employment begins at The Waltzing Weasel. Training will include:
- An Overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians Act, 2005 and the Requirements of the Customer Service Standard
- How to Interact and Communicate with People with Various Disabilities and Those with Disabilities that Require a Support Person or Service Animal
